Affiliate Marketing isn’t the simple “make money while you sleep” solution many American e-book sellers would have you believe. It’s a challenge, and at times can be frustrating and disappointing.
But on the other hand affiliate marketing can be lucrative, fun and rewarding. One of the great things about affiliate marketing is the incentives that the merchants / networks sometimes run.
Some incentives are great for affiliate marketing newbies to get motivated as you can get entries just by putting up some banners or coming up with good ideas. If I was managing an affiliate programme I would certainly be running regular incentives to keep my company top of mind for affiliates.
Right now Prezzybox, whose highly regarded affiliate scheme is available at Affiliate Window and Paid on Results, have got a very tasty incentive up for grabs. They are taking away a bunch of affiliates for a week of skiing somewhere in Europe on 14th March this year and have 2 more places available. It’s really easy to enter and has a short entry period so I think anyone that enters has got a great chance of winning. I wish I could enter but am not available.

- Tell Ben how you propose to promote Prezzybox.com this year. the more exposure you are willing to give Prezzybox, and the more elaborate your ideas, the more likely Ben is to pick you as one of the prize winners. Your name will then go into the hat.
Another example of this is Affiliate Future’s Barbados incentive – This year, as in previous years, some lucky affiliates will win a week in Barbados mixing with other affiliates and merchants. You can win entries to the prize draw by generating sales for particular merchants.
