In further evidence that the holiday home rental by owner market has grown up, the UK’s leading holiday home rental website, holidaylettings.co.uk has launched an affiliate scheme at Affiliate Window.
This seems like a good opportunity to get a small piece of this massive and growing market as, helped along by the low cost airlines, holiday lettings are now a very significant brand in travel spending more than £2 million a year on advertising – you must have seen their campaigns and press coverage ?!
The programme is a CPL affiliate scheme where website publishers can earn money for sending traffic to the holidaylettings website that goes on to make an enquiry about renting a property. There will be some leakage as some of the advertisers have a phone number for making bookings but I expect that the percentage of enquiries that start on email is nice and high.
A spokesperson from Holiday Lettings told me today:
“We feel we’re ready to go out to the travel affiliate community and ask them to back our brand with our search widgets and other branded creative. We think we’re a recognisable enough brand for affiliates to earn from and we think, especially with the widgets we’ve got a compelling call to action.”
